Tomoyo's Start

I did this for the September contest, but I didn't complete it until today. How terrible it was to fall ill in the last week and not check my messages >.> Well, practice is practice and into the group gallery it'll go at least.

As for the piece itself, it's much brighter than a lot of my stuff has been of late, so that's a nice change. Tomoyo Daidouji sewing Sakura's plush sometime before Sakura's birthday, which was roughly a week before the Clow Book was opened originally. I based the calender off of March 1998, which is when the anime debuted. Could just have accurately used the 1993 calender but the story never explicitly states the year it takes place, though I think I actually worked it out once based on Touya's age and corresponding leap years. Leap kids are easy bench marks when working out time.

Anyway, a shame I missed the contest >.> Always next month I suppose.
